Don't work too hard :)

we scientists have a rough time...

first we get blown up in Lost and now this:

From the BBC News:

Around 70% of the 11-15 year olds questioned said they did not picture
scientists as "normal young and attractive men and women"...

They found around 80% of pupils thought scientists did "very important
work" and 70% thought they worked "creatively and imaginatively". Only 40%
said they agreed that scientists did "boring and repetitive work".

Over three quarters of the respondents thought scientists were "really
brainy people".

Among those who said they would not like to be scientists, reasons
included: "Because you would constantly be depressed and tired and not
have time for family", and "because they all wear big glasses and white
coats and I am female".

Was white not her colour or something? I'm pretty sure that women are allowed to be scientists now. Last time I checked anyway.

battle of wills

Who will blink first? I'm back at uni and the usual game has started - how high can we pile the bin before somebody bothers to empty it.

My high ground position is obviously that "I did it last time" and that it if somebody is going to be silly enough to put wet horrible stuff at the top of the bin rather than empty it, its them that can deal with it.

My kitchen rubbish is, of course, non-messy and always in the bottom of the bag. Honest.
